Tax and Chancery Chamber President

Mrs Justice Rose was appointed to be President of the Upper Tribunal Tax and Chancery Chamber in April 2015.  She was called to the Bar in 1984 and practiced as a barrister for 10 years.  She then spent 12 years as an advisory lawyer in the Government Legal Department working in HM Treasury, the Ministry of Defence and the House of Commons.  She was appointed to be a chairman of the Competition Appeal Tribunal in 2005 and to a number of fee paid judicial posts thereafter.  She became a High Court Judge of the Chancery Division in May 2013 and is nominated to sit on the Financial List.
