|Contempt of Court

Pursuant to paragraph 13 of Practice Direction: Committal for Contempt of Court – Open Court

In relation to the above numbered case on 1 April 2015, whilst sitting at the Sessions House in Preston as a District Judge of the County Court at Preston, I sentence one of the Respondents in that case , John Kershaw , to an immediate custodial sentence of 42 days for contempt of court. The basis of the imposition of that sentence was that Mr Kershaw admitted that on 12/12/14 he was present inside a motor vehicle in the company of two males over the age of 16 contrary to the terms of an interim injunction order dated 16/9/14 to which Mr Kershaw was subject.
