Committal for Contempt of Court in Open Court the County Court at Wigan

|Contempt of Court

Before District Judge Gordon sitting at the County Court at Wigan, Wigan and Leigh Courthouse, Darlington Street, Wigan, WN1 1DW.

Upon hearing the Solicitor for the Claimant and the Solicitor for the Defendent.

Wigan Borough Council -v- Jade Sinclair

In relation to B00WN260 on 25 June 2015, at Wigan Courthouse, I, District Judge Gordon sentence JADE REBECCA SINCLAIR to an immediate custodial sentence of 8 weeks for contempt of court. The basis of this sentence is that an admitted breach of Paragraph 1 of an injunction dated 21 May 2015 activates a sentence of 2 weeks and 4 weeks concurrently given by District Judge Jackson on 12 June 2015 and I have given a sentence of 4 weeks for the admitted breach today. The Defencdent entered, uninvited into the house of another and confronted an individual holding a large silver knife, being 20 inches long and having holes in it, asked where her son was. The breach was admitted but fell within the lesser category and a sentence of 4 weeks to run consecutively was appropriate for such breach and contempt.
