In relation to the above numbered case on 10 July 2017 District Judge Jabbar sitting in the County Court at West Cumbria as a District Judge of the County Court, sentenced the Defendant in that case, to a custodial sentence of 4 weeks for contempt of court on breach of an Injunction Order dated 6 June 2017. The basis of the sentence imposed is that on compliance with the injunction order dated 6 June 2017 and it is ordered that Jody Barnes be committed for contempt to Her Majesty’s Prison for breaching the suspended committal order made on 5 July 2017 for a total period of 2 weeks with time served on remand of 3 days to be deducted from the 2 week sentence. (It is recorded that only half of the sentence will be served and the respondent will be released on Friday 14th July 2017.) And it is ordered that the defendant do pay claimants costs of £450 plus VAT by 4pm 24 July 2017.
