Newcastle City Council v Carl Murtha Senior

On Monday, 16th November 2015 District Judge Jackson, sitting at County Court at Newcastle upon Tyne, was satisfied that the Respondent, Carl Murtha Senior had been guilty of contempt of court by breaching injunctive orders made by the court on 9th June 2015 and 7th July 2015.

The Respondent was represented by Counsel.

The orders provided that the Respondent should not attend at or attempt to enter a specified address which order was to remain in force until 4pm on 6th July 2016. The court found 15 separate breaches of the orders proved.

The Respondent was sentenced to two separate terms of imprisonment of six months each to be served concurrently.
