On 1 August 2016, in the County Court at Mansfield, in Case Number C00MF003 between Bassetlaw District Council and James Brown, District Judge MacMillan committed James Brown to prison for 28 days, suspended until 28 January 2017, for breach of an injunction granted on 28 January 2016 prohibiting him from entering the Conway Gardens Sheltered Housing Scheme at Retford.  James Brown had been personally served with the committal application.  He did not attend the hearing.
