Committal Application
Statement of reasons for the purpose of CPR R.81.28(5)

Following admissions by him, the Court has found Mr Matthew Lavous guilty of eight breaches between 11 February 20-17 and 27 March 2017 of a final Anti-social Behaviour Injunction, dated 3rd February 2017, under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Those breaches comprise behaviour which caused, or was likely to cause, nuisance and annoyance, harassment, alarm or distress to residents of and visitors to Grosvenor House, Peabody Road, Farnborough, GU14 6EB.

The Court has imposed a custodial sentence of four months in total to recognize that the breaches shortly followed the imposition of the injunction, were at least in part aimed at those intended to be protected by the injunction and were multiple.

The Court suspended enforcement of the custodial sentence for 12 months on terms. This was to recognize the real efforts made by the Respondent to turn around his behaviour, successfully achieving progress and to acknowledge no reported breaches of the injunction since April 2017.
