|Contempt of Court

On 8th January 2015 in case number B00SM281 District Judge Harrison sitting at the County Court in Brentford found Miss Isabelle Humbert guilty of contempt of court.

Humbert did not attend the hearing and the judge heard and refused an informal oral application to adjourn the proceedings made by a friend of Humbert who attended the hearing.

The judge heard evidence from witnesses and was satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that Humbert had breached an injunction order made on 14.8.15 in that on one occasion on 16th September 2015 and on two occasions on 28th September 2015 she had used abusive and offensive words and behaviour in Old Pound Close, Isleworth which caused harassment, alarm or distress to others.

She was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months concurrently on each breach.
