Case No: CO1BH658

Bournemouth Borough Council

-v-

Sean Wheeldon

In relation to the above case number on 27th March 2017, at the County Court at Bournemouth HH Judge Meston QC sentenced the defendant Sean Wheeldon to an immediate custodial sentence of 8 weeks for contempt of court. The basis of that sentence was that on 12th January 2017 an injunction was made under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and that on 22nd March 2017 the court had found that the defendant had acted in breach of that order on 18 occasions on and between 17th January 2017 and 12th March 2017

He was sentenced to 8 weeks imprisonment in respect of each breach to run concurrently. The court had regard to the persistence of the defendant’s conduct and to the effects of his abusive and intimidating behaviour on the public.
