Pursuant to paragraph 13 of Practice Direction: Committal for Contempt of Court – Open Court

In relation to case number 2SA00850 on 14th September 2015, at the County Court sitting at Swansea I, Judge Vosper QC, sentence David John Hanford, to a custodial sentence of 26 weeks imprisonment for contempt of court. The basis of that sentence is that he breached a suspended committal order made on 9th January 2015 under section 215 of the Enterprise Act 2002 by between 4th February 2015 and 13th May 2015

  1. Taking deposits and failing to carry out agreed work contrary to regulation 3 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
  2. Failing to redress complaints about faulty goods or services contrary to regulation 3 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
  3. Using coercion and thereby causing a consumer to take a transactional decision which the consumer would not otherwise have taken contrary to contrary to regulation 7 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
  4. Failing to carry out services with reasonable care and skill contrary to section 13 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.
