Pembrokeshire County Council -v- David John Hanford
Pursuant to paragraph 13 of Practice Direction: Committal for Contempt of Court – Open Court
In relation to case number 2SA00850 on 14th September 2015, at the County Court sitting at Swansea I, Judge Vosper QC, sentence David John Hanford, to a custodial sentence of 26 weeks imprisonment for contempt of court. The basis of that sentence is that he breached a suspended committal order made on 9th January 2015 under section 215 of the Enterprise Act 2002 by between 4th February 2015 and 13th May 2015
- Taking deposits and failing to carry out agreed work contrary to regulation 3 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
- Failing to redress complaints about faulty goods or services contrary to regulation 3 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
- Using coercion and thereby causing a consumer to take a transactional decision which the consumer would not otherwise have taken contrary to contrary to regulation 7 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
- Failing to carry out services with reasonable care and skill contrary to section 13 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.
