Case No: B00PR552 – St Vincent’s Housing Association Ltd v Ms Michelle Farrar and Mr Christopher Cantwell
In relation to the above numbered case on 23rd May 2015, I attended Bury Police Station following the arrest of the Second Respondent, Christopher Cantwell, on 22nd May 2015 for breach of the Anti Social Behaviour Injunction granted by the County Court at Preston on 22nd May 2015 under the Anti-social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014. The injunction had been granted to protect a tenant, and her partner, of a property let by the Applicant. The Respondent indicated, on two occasions, that he did not wish to be represented and admitted the alleged breaches. I sentenced him to an immediate custodial sentence of 8 weeks for contempt of court. The breaches admitted were that Mr Cantwell threatened violence against Ryan Horsfield, engaged in behaviour and used words likely to cause harassment or distress to Lauren Sutton, engaged in behaviour and used words which cause nuisance or annoyance to Lauren Sutton and Ryan Horsfield and used abusive insulting and threatening behaviour against Lauren Sutton and Ryan Horsfield contrary to the terms of the injunction.
