Upper Tribunal Judge Alan James Gamble retires with effect from 1 May 2016.

Upper Tribunal Judge Gamble (65) was called to the Bar in 1978. He was appointed a Chairman of the Social Security Appeal Tribunals in 1993, a Deputy Social Security and Child Support Commissioner in 1994, District Chairman of Appeal Tribunals in 1999 and a Social Security and Child Support Commissioner in 2008 (now known as Judge of the Upper Tribunal (Administrative Appeals Chamber)).
