Tribunal Judge Retirement: Renton

Tribunal Judge Nicholas William Renton retires with effect from 12 October 2015.

Tribunal Judge Renton (67) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1974. He was appointed a part-time Chairman of the Tribunal (Social Security Appeal Tribunals) in 1985, a part-time Immigration Adjudicator in 1990, a Special Immigration Adjudicator in 1993, a Legally Qualified Panel Member of Appeal Tribunals in 1999, and an Immigration Adjudicator in 2000. He was appointed the Resident Judge at Birmingham and a Legal Member of the Immigration Appeals Tribunal in 2004 (now known as Judge of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber)).
