Tribunal Judge Retirement: Cooper

Professor Judge Jeremy Denison Cooper retires with effect from 1 July 2016.

Professor Judge Jeremy Cooper (65) was called to the Bar (I) in 1975. He was appointed a Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2002, Regional Chairman of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2004 and a Legal Member of the Restricted Patients Panel in 2007 (now known as Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) and Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge (Administrative Appeals Chamber)). He was appointed the Training Adviser to the Senior President of Tribunals in 2009 and the Judicial College Director of Training (Tribunals) in 2012.
