Tribunal Judge Retirement: Burns

Tribunal Judge Jessica Martha Burns retires as a Regional Tribunal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber) Scotland with effect from 1 April 2018.

Tribunal Judge Burns (65) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1979. She was appointed a part-time Chairman of the Tribunal (Social Security Appeal Tribunals) in 1987 and full-time Chairman of the Tribunal (Social Security Appeal Tribunals) in 1992. She was appointed Regional Chairman of the Appeal Tribunals (now known as Regional Tribunal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber)) for what was then Central Region based in Birmingham in 2001 and transferred back to Scotland in 2012.
