Tribunal Judge Retirement: Barry

Tribunal Judge William Patrick Christopher Barry retires with effect from 11 June 2016.

Tribunal Judge Barry (67) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1972. He was appointed a part-time Chairman of the Social Security Appeal Tribunals in 1988, a Legally Qualified Panel Member of the Appeal Tribunals and a Chairman of the Social Security Appeal Tribunals in 1994. He was appointed District Chairman of Appeal Tribunals in 1999 (now known as Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber)) and Deputy Social Security and Child Support Commissioner in 2000.
