Tribunal Judge – Death In Service

The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, the Senior President of Tribunals, Sir Jeremy Sullivan and the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP, were saddened to learn of the death of Judge David Nicholas Bowen on 30 October 2014.

David Nicholas Bowen (66) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1973. He was appointed as an Immigration Adjudicator (part time) in 1989, Immigration Adjudicator (full time) in 2001, Immigration Judge in 2005, Designated Immigration Judge in 2007 (now known as Tribunal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) and, in 2010, as a Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge (Immigration and Asylum Chamber).
