The Honourable Sir Richard Alan Field retires from the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) with effect from 1 September 2014.

Sir Richard Alan Field (67) was called to the Bar in 1977, took silk in 1987 and was elected as a Bencher in 1998. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1995, and approved to sit as a Deputy High Court Judge (Queen’s Bench Division) in 1998. He was appointed a Recorder in 1999, a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 2002, Presiding Judge of the Western Circuit from 2009 to 2013, and Judge In Charge Of The Commercial List in January 2014.
