High Court Judge Appointment (Queen’s Bench): Lambert

The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Miss Christina Caroline Lambert QC to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 11 January 2018 consequential to the retirement of Sir Andrew David Collins.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Miss Christina Caroline Lambert to the Queen’s Bench Division.

Christina Caroline Lambert, aged 54, will be known as The Honourable Mrs Justice Lambert. She was called to the Bar (I) in 1988 and took Silk in 2009. She was appointed as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2017.

Sir Andrew David Collins, aged 75, was called to the Bar (M) in 1965, took Silk in 1985 and was elected a Bencher in 1992. He was appointed a Recorder in 1986 and a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 1994. He was President of the Immigration Appeal Tribunal from 1999 to 2002 and the Lead Judge in the Administrative Court for England and Wales from 2004 to 2007.
