High Court Judge Appointment: Cheema-Grubb

Mrs Justice Cheema-GrubbThe Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mrs Bobbie Cheema-Grubb QC to be a Justice of the High Court with effect from 23 November 2015 on the retirement of Mr Justice Kenneth Parker.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Mrs Cheema-Grubb to the Queen’s Bench Division.

Mrs Cheema-Grubb, 49, was called to the Bar (G) in 1989 and took Silk in 2013. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2007 and is approved to sit as a deputy High Court Judge.

Mr Justice Kenneth Parker was called to the Bar (G) in 1975 and took Silk in 1992. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2000 and as a judge of the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court in 2009.
