The Queen has appointed William Neale Thomas to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, based in South Wales Courts with effect from 6 October 2014.

Notes to editors

William Neale Thomas, aged 57, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Thomas. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1983. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 1999.
