The Queen has appointed Kathryn Louise Meek to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern circuit based at Newcastle upon Tyne Magistrates court with effect from 8 September 2016.

Kathryn Louise Meek, aged 46, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Meek. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 2002. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2012.
