The Queen has appointed Amanda Jane Kelly to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Westminster Magistrates’ Court with effect from 29 January 2018.

Amanda Jane Kelly, aged 44, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Kelly. She was called to the Bar (L) in 2003. She was appointed as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2013.
