The Queen has appointed Richard Anthony Clews to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit based at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court with effect from 1 March 2016.

Richard Anthony Clews, aged 52, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Clews. He was called to the Bar (G) in 1986. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2006.
