The Queen has appointed Timothy Capstick to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Teesside Magistrates’ Court with effect from 29 January 2018.

Timothy Capstick, aged 54, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Capstick. He was called to the Bar (G) in 1986. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2003.
