District Judge Appointment: Vernon

The Queen has appointed Robert Anthony Vernon to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, based at Cardiff Civil Justice Centre with effect from 16 April 2018.

Notes to editors

Robert Anthony Vernon, aged 39, will be known as District Judge Vernon. He was called to the Bar (L) in 2000. He was appointed as a Fee Paid Judge of the Employment Tribunal in 2013 and assigned as a Fee-Paid Judge of the First Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2017.
