The Queen has appointed Shefali Talukdar to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester County and Family Court with effect from 30 April 2018.

Shefali Talukdar, aged 53 will be known as District Judge Talukdar. She was Admitted as a Solicitor in 1988. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015.
