The Queen has appointed Tanya Joanne Simister to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at St Helen County and Family Court with effect from 26 March 2018.

Tanya Joanne Simister, aged 45, will be known as District Judge Simister. She was Admitted as a Solicitor in 1996. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
