District Judge Appointment: Prest QC

The Queen has appointed Adam Charles Prest QC to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Leeds Combined Court Centre with effect from 12 April 2016.

Notes to editors

Adam Charles Prest, aged 53, will be known as District Judge Prest QC. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1988, called to the Bar (I) in 2005 and took Silk in 2016. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2005.
