The Queen has appointed Mark John Thomas to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Durham Justice Centre with effect from 20 March 2018.

Mark John Thomas, aged 49 will be known as District Judge Mark Thomas. He was called to the Bar (M) in 2003. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015.
