District Judge Appointment: James Britton

The Queen has appointed James Robert Britton to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based in the Central Family Court with effect from 18 April 2016.

Notes to editors

James Robert Britton, aged 42, will be known as District Judge James Britton. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1996. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2013.
