The Queen has appointed Stephen Nichol Byass to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Reading County Court with effect from 3 October 2016.

Stephen Nichol Byass, aged 50, will be known as District Judge Byass. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1994. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
