The Queen has appointed George William Branchflower to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Barnsley County Court with effect from 1 March 2017.

George William Branchflower, aged 53, will be known as District Judge Branchflower. He was called to the Bar (L) in 1997. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
