The Queen has appointed David Michael Batey to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.
The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Dartford County & Family Court with effect from 1 October 2014.

David Michael Batey, aged 48, will be known as District Judge Batey. He was called to the Bar (G) in 1989. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
