The Queen has appointed Claire Nicola Batchelor to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Sheffield Combined Court Centre with effect from 12 April 2016.

Claire Nicola Batchelor, aged 54, will be known as District Judge Batchelor. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1987. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1998.
