The Queen has appointed Andrew John Berkley to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable Lord  Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Civil Justice Centre with effect from 22 January 2018.

Notes to editors

Andrew John Berkley, aged 47, will be known as His Honour Judge Berkley. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1994. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2005 and a District Judge in 2011.
