The Queen has appointed Alison Jane Woodward to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester County Court and Family Court with effect from 15 January 2018.

Alison Jane Woodward, aged 47, will be known as Her Honour Judge Alison Woodward. She was called to the Bar (G) in 1992. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2012.
