Circuit Judge Appointment: Smith

The Queen has appointed Eleanor Rachel Smith to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Newcastle Upon Tyne Combined Court with effect from 22 January 2018.

Eleanor Rachel Smith, will be known as Her Honour Judge Eleanor Smith. She was called to the Bar (M) in 1992 and appointed as a Recorder in 2016.
