Circuit Judge Appointment: Simon

The Queen has appointed Michael Henry Simon to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Blackfriars Crown Court with effect from Tuesday 20 December 2016.

Michael Henry Simon, aged 47, will be known as His Honour Judge Simon. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1992. He was appointed as a fee-paid Legal Chairman of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal for England (now known as a fee-paid Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal Health Education and Social Care Chamber) in 2004.
