Circuit Judge Appointment: Richardson

The Queen has appointed District Judge Sarah Jane Richardson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Leeds Combined Court Centre with effect from 22 May 2015.

District Judge Sarah Jane Richardson, aged 45, will be known as Her Honour Judge Sarah Richardson. She was called to the Bar (I) in 1993. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2005 and as a District Judge in 2008.
