The Queen has appointed Judge Advocate Emma Kate Peters to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Chelmsford Crown Court with effect from 12 January 2016.

Emma Kate Peters, aged 46, will be known as Her Honour Judge Emma Peters. She was called to the Bar (L) in 1991 and admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 2009. She was appointed as an Assistant Judge Advocate General in 2010 and as a Recorder in 2012.
