Circuit Judge Appointment: Leigh

The Queen has appointed Samantha Ceri Leigh to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Basildon Crown Court with effect from 10 March 2015.

Samantha Ceri Leigh, aged 44, will be known as Her Honour Judge Leigh. She was called to the Bar (I) in 1995. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2005 and as a Recorder in 2009.
