Circuit Judge Appointment: Lawton

The Queen has appointed Paul Anthony Lawton to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Woolwich Crown Court with effect from 27 October 2014.

Notes to editors

Paul Anthony Lawton, aged 50, will be known as His Honour Judge Lawton. He was called to the Bar (L) in 1987. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2005.
