Circuit Judge Appointment: Hellman

The Queen has appointed Stephen Geoffrey Hellman to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Central London County Court with effect from 9 July 2018.

Stephen Geoffrey Hellman, aged 53, will be known as His Honour Judge Hellman. He was called to Bar (I) in 1988. He was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Bermuda in 2012, to the Panel of Acting Judges of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands – General Division in 2017, and as a Judge of the Court of Appeal of the Falkland Islands in 2017.
