Circuit Judge Appointment: Cooke

The Queen has appointed Peter Raymond Cooke to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Derby Combined Court, with effect from 26 October 2016.

Notes to editors

Peter Raymond Cooke, aged 55, will be known as His Honour Judge Peter Cooke. He was Called to The Bar (L) in 1985. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2003.
