The Queen has appointed Farooq Ahmed to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based in the Kent and Sussex regions with effect from 1 February 2018.

Farooq Ahmed, aged 59 will be known as His Honour Judge Ahmed. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1983. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2000.
