Circuit Bench Retirement: Teare

His Honour Judge Jonathan James Teare retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 14 June 2014.

His Honour Judge Teare (67) was called to the Bar (M) in 1970. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1986, a Recorder in 1990, a Circuit Judge in 1998 and Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal in 2001 (now known as Judge of the First Tier Tribunal (Social and Entitlement Chamber)). He was the Probation Board Member for Nottinghamshire from 2004 to 2011 and appointed Presiding Senior Judge, Sovereign Base Areas, Cyprus from 2007 (Deputy Senior Judge from 2001 to 2007).
