Her Honour Judge Isobel Mary Plumstead retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 16 December 2014.

Her Honour Judge Plumstead (67) was called to the Bar (M) in 1970. She was appointed a Deputy Registrar then Registrar of the Family Division of the High Court in 1990 and District Judge (Principal Registry of the Family Division) in 1991. She was appointed a Lawyer Chairman of the Independent Schools Tribunal in 1992, an Assistant Recorder in 1994, a Recorder in 1998 and a Circuit Judge in 2001. She was authorised to sit as a Judge of the High Court, Family Division, in 2002 and appointed the Designated Family Judge for Cambridge from 2003 to 2009 and Peterborough and Cambridge from 2007 to 2009. She was appointed a Judge by Request for the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) in 2013.
