Circuit Bench Retirement: Kennedy

His Honour Judge William Andrew Kennedy retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 26 April 2016.

His Honour Judge Kennedy (68) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1972. He was appointed an Acting Metropolitan Stipendiary Magistrate in 1990, a Metropolitan Stipendiary Magistrate in 1991, Chairman of the Youth Courts from 1992 to 2001, an Assistant Recorder in 1995, a part-time (Plate) Judge Advocate in 1995, a Recorder in 1999, Circuit Judge in 2001 and Deputy Resident Judge for Snaresbrook Crown Court in 2004. He was appointed Judicial Member, London Probation Board from 2005 to 2009 and Judicial Director, Her Majesty’s Court Service from 2010 to 2012.
