Circuit Bench Retirement: Hughes

His Honour Judge Dafydd Lloyd Hughes retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 1 January 2015.

His Honour Judge Hughes (67) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1971. He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 1985, a District Judge in 1990, an Assistant Recorder in 1994, a Recorder in 1998 and a Circuit Judge in 2004. He was appointed Liaison Judge for North Wales Magistrates and Deputy Designated Family Judge for Caernarfon and Rhyl in 2007. He was appointed Nominated Judge to hear Court of Protection Cases for North Wales and the Honorary Recorder of Caernarfon in 2012.
